New Students’ Centre Opens

After years of planning and once building commenced, 9 months of construction, IT Sligo Students’ Centre is finally open for business!

What was the old Aula Maxima, has been given an incredible transformation, from an old worn out sports complex to a building where its sole function is to cater for Students’ and their needs. Its modern and impressive exterior houses a number of essential services that are required by students.

We are still settling in to our new home so everything isn’t yet running smoothly, but we are getting there. The SU Shop has been dramatically improved since the move but still offers the lowest possible prices to students. The Juice Bar has been a roaring success, and if you haven’t tried it get in there and sample a smoothie or the freshly squeezed juice, they simply gorgeous!

Breffni and Kevin are sharing an office, located in between the Clubs and Socs Room and the meeting room, on the ground floor, don’t worry if there is an issue where you need to see one or both of them privately, we have two meeting rooms separate to the office, where we can cater for sensitive or any issue that you wish to keep private.

George’s office and the Print-Room can be found opposite the corridor and waiting area. If you need to get work, copied, printed or bound this is the place to come.

Our General Manager Padraig Ryan can be found through the same door as George and is down to the right when you enter the door.

Also situated in the Print Room Office are the part-time officers hot desks, they are directly in front of you when you enter through the doorway.
