Voting Procedures – FAQs

Who can vote?

All members of the Students’ Union are permitted to vote.

What do I need to vote?

You need a valid IT Sligo student ID to vote.

When and where can I cast my vote?

Voting takes place on Thursday 14th March in the Main Canteen from 10am to 5pm

How do I cast my vote?

Present your valid IT Sligo student ID to the polling clerk at the Polling Station who will verify you can vote and issue you with ballot papers. You can indicate you preference with a 1, 2, and so on.

Please vote carefully as mistakes will make for a spoiled vote.

How do I make my mind up?

To find out information about candidates

  • Talk to the candidate
  • Read their electioneering materials
  • Attend the Official Hustings
    • Hustings will take place on Tuesday 13th March in the Main Canteen from 12noon to 2pm.



Please note candidates are list in alphabetical order as they will appear on the ballot paper
